The amphitheater runs its touring concert season roughly May through October, with national acts booking Friday and Saturday nights most heavily; the University of Maryland's own commencement and campus events add additional traffic on the surrounding roads at other times of year.

Venue and campus lots fill early on big concert nights, and the exit onto Route 1 or the Beltway afterward can take the better part of an hour as the entire lot empties at once. A chauffeur sidesteps both: we drop near the gates and stage the pickup away from the main lot exodus.

We drop as close to the venue gates as event-night traffic control allows; for pickup we set a meeting point on a side street off Campus Drive, away from the lot-exit scrum, and time the return around the encore.

Nearby stops we combine with a show: downtown College Park's restaurant row, the University of Maryland's main campus landmarks and Greenbelt's dining options for an easy pre-show meal.

Sold-out nights at Xfinity Center routinely bring groups of six, eight or more friends or coworkers together for a show, and splitting that group across several rideshares at the end of the night is exactly when people get separated in a crowded lot. One Sprinter van keeps the whole group together for pickup and drop-off, with a single pre-set meeting point everyone can find even if phones are low on battery by the encore.
