Merriweather Post Pavilion
Concert Transportation
One of America’s legendary outdoor amphitheaters deserves a better arrival than an hour in the parking lot. Ride to Merriweather with a professional chauffeur.
Chauffeured Service to Merriweather Post Pavilion
Merriweather Post Pavilion has hosted legends since 1967 — from Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix to today’s biggest summer tours. Rolling Stone has ranked it among the best amphitheaters in the United States. Tucked into the woods of downtown Columbia, Maryland, it seats thousands under the pavilion roof with room for thousands more on the lawn.
The venue’s famous downside is getting out. Merriweather’s lots and the surrounding Columbia streets bottleneck badly after a sold-out show, and exits can take an hour or more. With BWI Chauffeur, you walk past the entire line. Your chauffeur stages at a pre-set pickup point and has you on Route 29 while the lots are still gridlocked.
The amphitheater’s distinctive hyperbolic-paraboloid roof was designed by a young Frank Gehry decades before he became a household name, and it remains one of the most recognizable silhouettes in American concert architecture. The surrounding Merriweather District redevelopment has since added restaurants, breweries, and green space around the venue, so a pre-show dinner no longer means driving all the way back out to Columbia Town Center.
Getting There Without the Hassle
Merriweather sits in the Merriweather District of downtown Columbia, just off Route 29 and Broken Land Parkway — roughly 20 minutes from BWI Airport, 30 minutes from Baltimore, and 45 minutes from Washington DC. On-site and district garage parking fills up early for major tours.
We handle one-way transfers, round trips, and hourly bookings. Many guests add a pre-show dinner stop in Clarksville or at the Merriweather District restaurants. Coming in from out of town for a show? We can pick you up straight from your BWI arrival gate area.

Merriweather Post Pavilion FAQs
How does pickup work after a Merriweather show?
Before the show ends, your chauffeur confirms a staging spot near the venue away from the worst of the lot traffic. You text when you are walking out, and we route you past the parking queues.
Do you run trips to Merriweather from Washington DC or Baltimore?
Yes. Columbia sits between both cities — about 30 minutes from Baltimore and 45 minutes from DC. We regularly run round trips from both, plus Annapolis, Bethesda, and Northern Virginia.
Can we drink on the ride to the concert?
Passengers 21 and over may bring their own beverages in most of our vehicles. Tell us when you book and we will have a cooler and ice ready in the SUV or Sprinter.
What happens if an outdoor show is delayed by weather?
Rain delays are common at an outdoor amphitheater. Your chauffeur tracks the event in real time and adjusts your pickup at no extra charge.
Is lawn or pavilion seating closer to the pickup point?
Both sections funnel toward the same main paths at the end of a show, and our chauffeurs position for whichever gate empties fastest that night, so lawn and pavilion guests get the same quick walk to the vehicle.
